Парк «Байлуюань» построен на основе знаменитого романа Чэнь Чжуншэня «Белая равнина оленя» — произведения, удостоенного литературной премии. Это первый в провинции Шэньси крупный кинематографический тематический парк, объединяющий съёмочные локации, культурные впечатления, детские развлечения и театральные представления. По территории парка можно пройти через пять знаменитых горных перевалов — Угуань, Сяогуань, Тунгуань, Цзиньсогуань и Дасаньгуань — и побывать в реконструкциях деревень Байлу и Цзышуй, воспроизведённых по описаниям из романа.
