Fukuoka Mount Aso & Takachiho Gorge Day Tour

Description

Mount Aso's Nakadake Crater is one of the few active volcanic landforms in Japan that can be seen up close. On-site, you can see the crater topography and rising white smoke, with distinct color gradations in the ground rocks, creating an overall stunning scene. This is the kind of attraction where "reality is more exaggerated than the photos," and those who enjoy natural wonders will be pleasantly surprised. Kusasenri is a large open grassland located at the foot of the volcano. The view is very expansive, with no tall buildings to obstruct it, and when the weather is good, the sky and grassland merge into one. It's easy to take great photos here, and it's also a great place to relax and take a walk, slowing down the pace; it's a very comfortable stop on the whole trip. Takachiho Gorge offers a different kind of natural scenery. Enter the gorge by boat, with high volcanic rock walls on both sides and clear, greenish river water. The most representative feature is the Manai Falls, which falls directly into the water from above the rock wall. Sitting on the boat and looking up at the waterfall is an experience many people come specifically for, and it's also a very classic natural scene in Kyushu. This route brings together: - A volcanic landform experience - Grassland scenery for photo opportunities - A gorge cruise experience With a rich variety of natural types and large visual differences, you can see representative topographical scenery of Kyushu in a single day. If you enjoy natural landscapes and want simple and easy transportation arrangements, this is a relatively safe choice.
